To kick off the Autumn, PLM Group, together with HP, is exhibiting at one of the most appreciated 3D printing events in the Nordics – AM SUMMIT in Denmark. On August 19, you can meet us at the Copenhagen-based conference. Here, we will show what is possible to achieve with an end-to-end 3D printing workflow and how to set up such a workflow.
During the past few years, PLM Group’s 3D printing division has been hard at work creating a solutions portfolio that reflects the developments in the additive manufacturing world. In practice, this means full focus on end-to-end 3D printing for a number of prototyping and end-use applications.
At AM SUMMIT, we will showcase a 3D printed and inhouse developed application for the robotics industry, made possible with HP’s groundbreaking Multi Jet Fusion technology. The part has been designed by PLM Group Norway’s talented application engineer, Stian Mork. Stian designed the part in SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD, ran simulation, and then optimized and file prepped in Materialise Magics.
Once ready for print, Kurt Due Petersen, our application engineer at PLM Group Denmark, printed the part in an HP MJF 5200. The last stage was postprocessing with our DyeMansion equipment, automating and optimizing the arduous tasks of cleaning and dyeing 3D printed parts. All printing and postprocessing was done in PLM Group’s showroom at IBA Kolding, Denmark. In the showroom there is a full setup of HP printers, featuring the MJF 5200, MJF 4210 as well as the full-color MJF 580.
