New HP MJF 5420W can produce white parts

HP is expanding their Multi Jet Fusion 3D printers with the new HP Jet Fusion 5400 Series. The first 3D printer to hit the streets is the Jet Fusion 5420W Solution. The new solution enables consistent, high-quality production of white parts.

3D printing with industrial-grade reliability

The new HP 3D printer has a 380 x 284 x 380 millimeter build volume, and a 3380.84 cm3 per hour print speed. It is a system system designed for manufacturing. The 5420W features industrial-grade reliability, low cost per print and enhanced part performance predictability. It is an ideal solution for the automotive, consumer goods, healthcare, and industrial markets.

Swedish Prototal betatester of the new HP 3D printer

One betatester of the MJF 5420W is the Swedish service bureau Prototal Industries. Owning multiple sites across the Nordics and the UK, Prototal has also been a betatester of the new TPU material.

“HP continues to provide us with the advancements we need to push the boundaries of additive manufacturing and produce the final parts our customers need,” says Jan Löfving, CEO, of Prototal Industries.

“Beyond the industrial grade production HP delivers, we are seeing immediate interest in the new white applications made possible by the latest addition to HP’s Multi Jet Fusion family. As a proud Digital Manufacturing Partner in HP’s DMN, we are equipped to take on bold, innovative projects and help companies get the most value out of AM production.”

HP’s 3D print technology based on voxels

The unique 3D printing technology from HP  is transforming how we design and make things. The voxel, or three-dimensional pixel, is at the heart of the technology. It allows designers to break objects down to the smallest nuances of shape and function and apply them with microscopic precision. That’s good for anyone that wants to use 3D printing for the manufacturing of end-use parts and high-quality prototypes. We have written an extensive guide to the Multi Jet Fusion technology that guides you through the process and benefits.
