Markforged FX20 – bigger, faster and prints high temp materials

The Markforged FX20 is the latest 3D printing solution from Markforged. With the FX20, you can print substantially larger parts and in high temp materials.

The new printer can print with the flame-retardant, high-performance thermoplastic material ULTEM 9085 in combination with continuous fiber, a hallmark of Markforged. Combined, you get high performance parts that are both high in strength and heat resistant. Parts that meet the needs of some the most demanding industries such as aerospace, defense, automotive, and oil & gas.

The FX20 is designed with high precision and is sensor-driven to give unparalleled accuracy, quality, and reliability to your parts.

The FX20 features a heated build chamber which means it can maintain up to 200°C in temperature. You can now print parts up to 525 mm x 400 mm x 400 mm in size. The FX20 is up to eight times faster than the default print settings on Markforged’s other composite printers. It prints close to five times larger parts than its next largest printer, the X7.

Markforged states that bringing together ULTEM 9085 filament with the company’s Continuous Fiber Reinforcement technology will help manufacturers replace entire segments of the supply chain by bringing strong, accurate parts that solve demanding, end-use applications.
